A total of nine lantern industry projects with a total investment of 2.55 billion yuan were signed at the Light and Illumination Industry Talents and Projects Promotional Conference in Yantan District, Zigong City, on April 4. The projects covered the areas of colored lantern R&D, LED products, Liquid Crystal Display production and so on.
With a planned area of three square kilometers, the Yantan District Light and Illumination Industrial Park will include sectors featuring outdoor landscape lighting, civil use lighting and others. This creates an industrial cluster and promotes the integration of traditional lantern and intelligent lighting, according to the conference.
The industrial park has contacted over 30 lantern and lighting enterprises since December last year. Two enterprises have signed agreements to begin projects in the park and eight others have signed cooperation agreements with the park.
