The Zigong City Investors' Conference and Project Signing Ceremony were held in Chengdu City, the capital of Sichuan province, on April 17. The activity is part of the ongoing business event "Renowned Enterprises Visit Sichuan", which is being held from April 16 to 24. A total of 11 projects were signed at the ceremony, with a planned investment of 18.87 billion yuan.
Key projects like the Southwest China (Zigong) Dry Port, Zigong State-level High-tech Zone and the Southwest China Aviation Industrial Park in Zigong were promoted at the conference. He Shuping, vice secretary of the CPC Zigong Municipal Committee and Mayor of Zigong, introduced Zigong and gave insights into its location, industrial parks, business environment and development trends in his conference speech. He said he expects more businessmen to make investments in Zigong over time.
During the business event, the city of Zigong signed a total of 42 projects in the areas of electronic information, aviation, gas turbines, medical treatment, the salt industry and others, with a planned investment of 46.51 billion yuan. Among them, the number of primary, secondary and tertiary industries totaled 6, 23 and 13 respectively, and the investment in each was 2.39 billion yuan, 23.15 billion yuan and 20.97 billion yuan respectively.
