Southern Sichuan Loquat Town Tourism Festival kicks off

The Southern Sichuan Loquat Town Tourism Festival kicked off in Xinqiao Town, Rong County in Zigong City, on May 9. Tourists can enjoy local produce like mandarin fish and loquats in the town and appreciate the scenery of Changgeng Mountain and Yuexi River during the ten-day festival.

The loquat planting in Xinqiao Town has a history of over 100 years. There are now 667 hectares of loquat fields in the town with an annual output of 2,500 tons. The online sale of loquats in the town has blossomed over the past few years and the product has been sold through the internet to Guangdong, Shanghai and many other places across China.
