There is now a total of 3,666 hectares of modern agricultural park lands in Gongjing District, Zigong City, of which the agricultural field that can serve as tourism areas comprised 333 hectares, said Liu Yong, director of the Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau in Gongjing District, Zigong City, on May 26.
Over the past years, the district has focused on the integration of primary, secondary and tertiary industries in rural areas, enhanced its distinctive industries and created a plan to further develop modern agricultural demonstration parks, Liu said. A 6666-hectare agricultural demonstration park will be built in villages and towns in the suburbs of Gongjing District in the coming years.
Liu added that leisure agriculture and rural tourism will be stepped up to promote the integration of agriculture, tourism, culture, and health maintenance.
