A strategic cooperation agreement on food safety at schools was signed between the Zigong Municipal Education and Sports Bureau and the Zigong Municipal Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives on May 24.
According to the agreement, the Zigong Municipal Federation of Supply and Marketing Cooperatives will provide safe, green, pollution-free and traceable agricultural products for all schools (kindergartens included) in Zigong City to ensure that food for students and teachers is safe.
"The food safety at schools is an issue of great concern to all," said Liu Cheng, vice party secretary of the Zigong Municipal Education and Sports Bureau. "Emphasis should be placed on this project to create a secure environment for students and schools."
