An award ceremony was held at Sichuan University of Science and Engineering in Zigong city, Sichuan Province, on Sept. 10, China's Teachers' Day. Outstanding teachers, academicians, and groups focused on scientific and technological advancement, education, ethics and so on at the university were awarded at the ceremony.
Li Yulong, a teacher from the Chemistry and Environment Engineering Institute of the university, delivered a speech representing all the awardees. "In the past nine years here, I was always thinking about how to become an outstanding teacher," he said. "I will focus on education, care for students, observe academic norms, and make more contributions to the university."
All the faculty are encouraged to carry forward the spirit of diligence, honesty, perseverance, and dedication and create a more distinctive and high-level comprehensive university, said Wang Honghui, secretary of the University Party Committee, at the ceremony.
