Zigong attracts 38.8bln yuan investment at Western China Int'l Fair

The city of Zigong in Sichuan Province signed 50 key project contracts during the third Western China International Fair in Chengdu City, capital of Sichuan Province, on Sept. 19, with the investment volume totaling 38.8 billion yuan.


Among them are four primary industry projects with an investment of 4.35 billion yuan, 27 secondary industry ones with an investment of 15.39 billion yuan and 19 tertiary ones with an investment of 19.06 billion yuan. The projects mainly focus on energy-saving equipment manufacturing, aviation, gas turbines, new-generation electronic information, agriculture and so on.

The project of a modern Sichuan pepper agricultural park in Yantan District, Zigong city, invested with 2 billion yuan will include Sichuan pepper planting demonstration and standard bases, a processing logistics park, a scientific park and a business incubator.

The city will cooperate with the China National Chemical Corporation to build a chemical new material industrial base with a planned investment of 7billion yuan featuring fluorine compound products and related industries. Zigong will realize comprehensive cooperation with the Dongfang Electric Corporation on environmental protection industries, energy internet construction, hydrogen energy, fuel cell and all industrial chains.
