The 27th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival will be held online from Feb. 12-17 during China's traditional Spring Festival holiday. Visitors from home and abroad can enjoy the spectacular lantern festival either on TV or online platforms such as Tencent, iQiyi and TikTok. Meanwhile, the Zigong Spring Festival Gala will be broadcast by television station Zigong TV on Feb. 10. In addition, a range of activities and online lectures will be held by the Zigong Dinosaur Museum, the China Lantern Museum, the Shenhai Well and the Zigong Library throughout the festive period. Selected scenic spots, libraries, culture centers and art galleries across Zigong will also be open to the public during the holiday.
Due to pandemic control measures, the 14 A-level scenic spots in Zigong will operate at 75% capacity and visitors will need to book tickets online in advance, as well as scan the pandemic control QR code before entering and wear face masks. The city's distinctive tourist buses will continue to run during the holiday, with a total of 10 electric buses serving visitors with stops at the main scenic areas.
