China's largest drone industrial base to be built in Zigong

China's largest drone industrial base will be built in the city of Zigong, Sichuan province, with a total investment of 10 billion yuan, according to an agreement signed on April 26 by the Aviation Industry of China Chengdu Aircraft Industrial Group Co. Ltd. and the Zigong Municipal Government. Its annual production value is expected to exceed 10 billion yuan once construction has been completed.

Based on the agreement, the project will build a drone industrial chain in the Zigong Aviation Industrial Park and involve projects such as drone test flights, debugging, general assembly, subassembly, components manufacturing, 3D printing, accessories production, and training and maintenance. Its first drone is expected to roll off the assembly line in June and complete its debut flight in September this year.
