The opening ceremony of a series of activities to celebrate the People's Intangible Cultural Heritage kicked off in Zigong city, Sichuan province, on June 14. China's Cultural and Natural Heritage Day falls on June 12 every year. With an aim to enhance the people's awareness of protecting cultural heritage, the activities included stage performances featuring intangible cultural heritage and folk customs, a photo exhibition featuring the inheritors of intangible cultural heritage, a traditional Chinese medicine inheritance activity and more.
