Calligraphy and painting exhibition held to commemorate Jiang Zhuyun

To commemorate the 101st birthday of Jiang Zhuyun (also known as Sister Jiang, an underground member of the Communist Party of China and revolutionary martyr), a calligraphy and painting exhibition was held in her hometown, Zigong city in Sichuan province, on August 20. Being a hero for the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Jiang Zhuyun had made great contributions to the cause of the national independence and liberation. Some 100 precious artworks themed with Sister Jiang were displayed at the exhibition, such as paintings entitled An Ode to Red Plum Blossom, Sister Jiang, Hometown to Sister Jiang, Belief and so on. Fan Bo, secretary of the Zigong Municipal Committee of the CPC, and Zeng Hongyang, deputy secretary of the Zigong Municipal Committee of the CPC and mayor of Zigong, attended the opening ceremony and visited the exhibition.
