New projects to launch at chemical industry park in Zigong

Three projects with a total investment of 4.5 billion yuan will settle in Southern Sichuan New Material Chemical Industry Park in Zigong City, Sichuan province, according to an investment promotion fair and project signing ceremony held in the city on Dec. 13.


The projects, centering on caustic soda and chloromethanes production, lithium battery production, and the establishment of the southwestern China headquarters of Guangdong's Huate Gas Co. Ltd respectively, are expected to create 1,200 job opportunities and form complete industry chains of the fluorine chemical and lithium battery industry in Zigong after completion.

The annual production of caustic soda, chloromethanes, and byproducts is expected to reach 300,000 tons, and the annual output value will reach 4.14 billion yuan. Furthermore, with an investment of 1.39 billion yuan, the lithium battery's yearly production and output are expected to reach 63,000 tons and 4.2 million yuan, respectively, after completion.


The city of Zigong has kept improving its business environment and offering high-quality services for enterprises in recent years. As a result, it has won an excellent grade for three consecutive years in the appraisal of old industrial city transformation and upgrading demonstration zones across China. Zigong has also been approved as a national new material high-tech technology industrialization base.
