42 key projects to start construction in Q1 in Zigong

A total of 42 projects with an investment of 13 billion yuan will start construction in the first quarter of 2022 in Zigong, Sichuan province, according to a project launching ceremony held on Jan. 4.


Among them, 13 involve industrial development such as a distinctive food processing base, a logistics industrial park, and a chilled poultry processing base. There are also 18 new infrastructure projects, including the Zigong 5G Innovative Application Industrial Park, the renovation of Wuxing Distinctive Block, and a parking lot in Fushun county. Meanwhile, projects like an urban emergency shelter square and the renovation of shantytowns in Rong county will improve people’s livelihoods and social undertakings.

As the representative project of this quarter, the Zigong 5G Innovative Application Industrial Park occupies an area of 7.6 hectares with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan. The 5G Intelligent Building, an incubator, the Industrial Internet Innovative Center, and a 5G R&D center will be completed in three phases. According to the conference, the project is expected to serve 5G construction, cutting-edge computing, and other future needs, promote the construction of an intelligent Zigong, advance the integration of information and industrialization, and support digital economic development in Zigong.
