Top ten tourist attractions in Zigong during Spring Festival

Various activities including performances, Sichuan opera, lectures and fruit picking will take place in the city of Zigong, Sichuan province, during the upcoming seven-day Spring Festival holiday, also known as Chinese New Year, which falls on Feb. 1 this year.

Zigong is home to historic well-salt culture, dinosaur ruins, lantern craftsmanship and distinctive delicacies. Here we take a look at the ten destinations to be visited in Zigong during Spring Festival.


#The World of Chinese Lantern

The World of Chinese Lantern reopened to the public on Dec. 31, 2021. As an immersive and interactive digital tourist hot spot, the World of Chinese Lantern presents a lantern show with themes of Prosperity and Peace, Nostalgia, Together for the Future and Dreamland and Dreamtime. The World of Chinese Lantern opens at 5 p.m. and closes at 10:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and opens at 4:30 p.m. and closes at 11 p.m. on holidays.
