A series of activities will be held in the city of Zigong, Sichuan province, to mark the International Museum Day, which falls on May 18. An opening ceremony was held in the Zigong Dinosaur Museum on May 17. Online and offline scientific popularization activities themed around the Dinosaur World, the Salt Story, and other related lectures will be held from May to June in the city, according to an announcement made during the ceremony. Several cooperation projects were signed, and many cultural relics protectors and volunteers were also honored during the ceremony. Over the past years, the city of Zigong has enhanced museum construction and renovation, with 15 museums being built so far in the city, such as the Zigong Dinosaur Museum, the Zigong Salt History Museum, and the China Lantern Museum.
