Zigong accelerates construction of 75 key projects

A total of 75 projects with an investment of 46.5 billion yuan ($6.4 billion) will accelerate construction in the third quarter of 2022 in Zigong, Sichuan province, according to a project launching ceremony held on Sept. 26.


Among them, 30 involve industrial development with investment totaling 17.3 billion yuan, such as highway and railway storage centers and related facilities of the Zigong National Key Cold-chain Logistics Base, the fine structural parts of Tianjun power battery, and the Chuanrun digitalized supply chain service center.

There are also 27 infrastructure projects with an investment of 20.6 billion yuan, including the renovation of 210 provincial highways in Rong county and the eastern water plant of Fushun county.

Another 16 projects with an investment of 7.1 billion yuan will be advanced to improve people's livelihoods and social undertakings, such as the training base of the Fushun Vocational and Technical School and flood prevention and rainwater control facilities in Da'an district.
 
As the representative project of this quarter, the highway and railway storage centers and related facilities of the Zigong National Key Cold-chain Logistics Base will be invested with 2.5 billion yuan. After completion, the 90,000-square-meter railway logistics storage center and the 120,000-square-meter highway logistics storage center will realize an annual revenue of 1.5 billion yuan and create 20,000 jobs.
