The 14th Rong County Tea Tourist Activity kicked off in Rong county, Zigong city, in Sichuan province on March 24. During the three-day event, a spring tea leaves trade fair, a tea leaf picking and roasting competition, a photography competition, and a pottery making show, among other events, will be held at tea gardens across the county. It is reported that the tea planting area in the county now totals 14,000 hectares, and a total of 44,700 tons of tea leaves are processed annually, with a total output value of 3.78 billion yuan.
