During the five-day Labor Day Holiday from April 28 to May 3, Zigong received 505,900 tourists and saw ticket sales reach 9.51 million yuan ($1.4 million), representing a year-on-year increase of 63.68% in visitor numbers and a 214.58% growth in revenue.
The World of Chinese Lanterns attracted over 60,000 tourists during the holiday by showcasing various performances and vibrant lantern displays.
By extending its operating business hours to 12 hours, the Zigong Fantawild Dinosaur Kingdom held activities like the Fantawild Cyber Electronic Music Festival, the Dreaming Starry Sky Fireworks Show, and the Parade of Future Motorcade, receiving over 90,000 tourists in total.
The Zigong Dinosaur Museum offered learning activities centered around exploring the dinosaur kingdom, including AR experiences, Q&A sessions, and parent-child interactions, welcoming 100,000 visitors.
Meanwhile, Xianshi Ancient Town in Yantan district received 120,000 tourists during the holiday by hosting festivals featuring sedan chair touring, folk custom performances, beer concerts, and more.
