About 80% of signed projects in the sector of UAV and general aviation have started construction at the Zigong Aviation Industrial Park in Zigong city, Sichuan province, according to official figures released on May 10.
So far, a total of 27 projects have been signed in the sector, and some 21 of them have started construction, with the paid-in investments totaling 1.9 billion yuan, said a spokesperson from the Zigong Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau.
The city of Zigong has held investment attraction and project promotion activities in provinces like Hunan, Shaanxi, and Anhui this year, and a total of 15 projects in the sector of UAV and general aviation are now under negotiation, the spokesperson added.
With an aim to build a high-level UAV and general aviation industry clustering in Zigong, the city has proactively contacted key enterprises in the sector, and by now, some 52 businesses have set up workshops in the city.
