The campaign was announced at the Da'an special session of the 2025 "Travel in Zigong: County Journeys Begin" cultural and tourism integration press conference.
Under the theme "Comfortable Sichuan, Explore Da'an," the event showcased the district's role in Zigong's development as an international tourism destination. It was also livestreamed on Douyin to broaden its reach.
Xu Sheng, deputy head of Da'an district, delivered the keynote presentation, outlining the district's tourism achievements and announcing upcoming events, including the "Ride Around Qinglong Lake" cycling race and National Day festival series.
The new tourism routes target different visitor interests. The "Travel with Museums" route connects cultural sites including red history, salt heritage, dinosaur fossils and lantern displays. The "Travel with the Seasons" route features year-round rural experiences from spring flowers to winter village activities. Meanwhile, the "Travel with Sports" route incorporates seasonal outdoor activities and events.
For younger visitors, the "Travel with Performances" route includes the Trendy Da'an Youth Music Festival, cultural heritage shows and photography contests.
