Zigong Aviation Industrial Park hosted an industry cooperation ceremony and a certification review meeting for the locally-manufactured LE-700 aircraft on Sept. 19, laying the groundwork for mass production scheduled to begin next year.

The Zigong-produced LE-700 obtained its type certificate from the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on July 23, becoming China's first independently developed general aviation aircraft to achieve full certification without any exemptions, waivers or relaxations.

General Aviation International Aircraft Technology has completed the final assembly line for the LE-700 in Zigong, with the production certificate application now under CAAC review. Mass production is expected to begin in 2026 with an annual capacity of 100 aircraft.

During the ceremony, Zigong General Aviation International Aircraft Manufacturing Co., Ltd. signed cooperation agreements with multiple partners, including flight schools, domestic and international distributors, service centers, financial institutions and component suppliers. These partnerships establish a comprehensive industrial ecosystem spanning research and development, manufacturing, sales, services and financing.
