Zigong hosts AI industry matchmaking conference for supply–demand professionals

The 2026 Zigong Artificial Intelligence (Data Labeling) Industry Supply–Demand Matchmaking Conference was held in the city on Feb. 5, 2026. It connected representatives from enterprises, research institutions and financial organizations from across Sichuan province and the wider world. The event explored the development of the data labeling industry and built a bridge between supply and demand.

At the conference, a thematic presentation on Da'an district's data labeling industry was delivered. Plaques featuring" Zigong Data Element Aggregation and Innovation Center" were presented to the Zigong High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Da'an district. The Zigong Artificial Intelligence Association released a data labeling opportunity list, providing guidance for investment and cooperation. 

Enterprise representatives, including Shenzhen-based UBTECH Robotics Corp. and Sichuan Baijia Data Technology Co., Ltd., presented detailed demand and supply lists and conducted targeted roadshows to facilitate precise matchmaking.

Da'an district has taken data labeling as an entry point into the AI sector and, over the past two years, achieved a significant transformation. The district has gradually formed a distinctive data labeling industry centered on autonomous driving, embodied intelligence, and training data for large models. The data labeling base in Da’an has built a full-chain service ecosystem integrating data collection, cleaning, labeling and application, attracting more than 52 leading enterprises and upstream and downstream partners. These included Baidu, Tencent Cloud, and Volcano Engine.

To date, the base has signed contracts for more than 11,500 jobs, driven local employment of over 7,000 people, and achieved an annual output value of 380 million yuan, placing it at the forefront of Sichuan's data labeling industry.

Looking ahead, Da’an district is formulating supportive policies to promote the high-quality development of the AI (data labeling) industry, covering venue support, operational incentives, talent subsidies and innovation encouragement. Zigong also plans to establish a municipal data element aggregation and innovation center, with core areas including the Zigong Exhibition Center and the Zigong Science and Innovation Center. The initiative will focus on the full chain of data elements from aggregation, circulation, application and security, to improve data flow efficiency and value transformation.

By accelerating the formation of a complete data element industrial ecosystem, Zigong aims to fully unleash the value of data elements, empower industrial upgrading and improve people’s livelihoods. By 2027, the city plans to attract more than 100 AI (data labeling) enterprises, cultivate over 25 above-designated-size companies in the sector, creating more than 10,000 jobs.
