A dinosaur parade took to the streets of Zigong, Sichuan province, on Oct. 1, drawing tens of thousands of visitors to celebrate China's National Day.

The parade began at 10 a.m., featuring colorful smoke effects, flapping pterosaur wings and a towering mechanical Tyrannosaurus rex. Six themed formations followed in succession, combining technology, entertainment and audience interaction.
Leading the procession was a 10-meter-tall mechanical T. rex, whose deep engine roar and dinosaur calls drew cheers from spectators.

Behind it came a group of intelligent robotic dinosaurs that moved freely and interacted with visitors, while other robots mingled with the crowds, giving children a chance to see the prehistoric-inspired figures up close.

The parade also featured a formation themed on prehistoric times, with performers dressed as primitive humans engaging playfully with spectators.

In a family-themed section, children rode small dinosaur figures and carried colorful flags alongside their parents.

At the end of the procession, performers stepped down from parade vehicles to dance with visitors. Adults and children joined in, waving, cheering and taking photos as the celebration continued.

The event was organized by the Zigong Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism and the Zigong High-Tech Industrial Development Zone Administrative Committee.

It brought the city's dinosaur-themed attractions and technology into the streets, offering residents and tourists an interactive cultural and tourism experience during the National Day holiday.
