Salt was once one of China's greatest sources of revenue. In fact, there is a saying that goes: "The best salt in China is produced from the salt wells in Sichuan. The best salt wells in Sichuan are in Ziliujing District, Zigong City." The Zigong Salt Industry Museum showcases historical records of the salt industry’s development in Zigong.
